It is with the deepest sorrow that the family of Bert Jenks announce his passing on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in Cranbrook at 58 years of age.
Bert was born on February 3, 1959 in Cold Lake, Alberta. He was a gentle soul that loved animals, camping, hockey and music. Bert was a kind and generous man that was always willing to share what he had with those that were close to him. Bert had a sharp wit and a great sense of humour.
He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends, especially Preston Flowers.
Bert is survived by his loving son Maxwell, his best friend and confidante Robbi, his brothers Dallas and Bart, nieces Lori and Jennifer and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bert was predeceased by his mother Reta in 2004, his father Rexford in 2015 and his cousin Ray in 2017.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Witten for his excellent care over the years as well as Dr. Wick and the 3rd floor and ICU nurses at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook for their care and compassion over the last nine months.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
