It is with great sadness that the family of Bernice Brown announces her passing in the palliative care unit of Nanaimo Hospital on May 7, 2018 after a short period of illness with cancer. Bernice has touched the lives of many and she will be dearly missed by all.

Bernice was born in Cranbrook, BC, graduated from Mount Baker high school in Cranbrook in 1973, attended UBC Agriculture 1983-86, and was a resident of Nanaimo for over 30 years. In her life she was a draftsman, biotech, and in later years a tax consultant for H&R Block.

She was dearly loved and will be missed by her husband Thomas Gordon Brown, son Brendan Gordon Brown, and daughter Moira Anne Oksana Brown. Bernice is preceded by her mother Mary Alexander (Rezansoff) 1918- 2005, father Michael Morosoff 1911-1977 and brother Jacob 1945-2007.

She is survived by her brother Jerry; sisters Nina, Ginny, and Elaine; nieces Leila, Erin, Grace-Anne; and nephews Derek, Michael, Daniel, Kevin, and Sean.

A celebration of life will be held between 1:00 and 4:00 pm on Saturady, Aug 25th at the Departure Bay Activity Center (1415 Wingrove St., Nanaimo).
