In the early morning hours of Thursday, April 10, 2014 Barbara passed away peacefully at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook.
Barbara was born in Breslau, Germany on May 10, 1928. She was a war survivor and in 1952 she decided to immigrate to Canada. She met Wolfgang Rieger and they were married in 1956. They were married for 57 years.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband Wolfgang, her son John, numerous relatives and friends in Europe, The United States Of America and Canada.
At Barbara’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.
