It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Annie Tadey in Vancouver on January 29, 2014 at the age of 78 years.
Anne was born in Cranbrook on March 2, 1935. She worked in Cranbrook until moving to Vancouver in 1959 where she was employed until she retired. She also enjoyed living and working in Australia for a year.
Anne is lovingly remembered by her brothers Tony (Doreen), Millen (Doreen) and John (Joyce), her sisters Mary Brooks, Kay Wilson (Lloyd), Margaret Laird (Sandy) and Eva, her sister-in-law Lorraine, and many nieces and nephews and their families. Anne was predeceased by her parents John and Evka, her nephew John, her brother Dusan and her brother-in-law Gordon Brooks.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Peter Tompkins, Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Westlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Cranbrook. Following interment relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family in the St. Mary’s Church Hall.
