December 10, 1925 - January 20, 2021
Born in Thurcroft, England to George and Elsie Carlisle, the family immigrated to Canada in 1929 and began a new life in Windermere. Two more brothers were born and the family moved to Wycliffe where ranching became their life. Alan enlisted and served overseas during WWII.
Slim is survived by son, Collin (Menchie), brother, EJ "Jim" Carlisle, sister-in-law, Mary Carlisle, two nephews, two nieces and their families.
Slim said he didn't hug but never refused one from either of the two great nephews or the six great nieces and he would surprise them with magazine subscriptions or small gifts.
He was predeceased by Janet Carlisle (Matheson) in 2016, his two brothers, Frederick "Fred" in 1995 and George in 2012, and his parents (1957; 1981)
At Slim's request, there will be no funeral service. Memorial donations can be made to an organization of the donor's choosing.
