Theft of snowblowers in these wintry days have led to the arrest of a man and woman in Cranbrook.

Police got a call Sunday, Jan. 15, at 10 a.m., after a suspect grabbed a snowblower from a residence in the Mt. Fisher area and fled in a white pick-up.

A family member of the caller saw the suspect vehicle at the 100 block of 11th Avenue South, and called police.

Cranbrook RCMP arrived, executed a search warrant, found not one but two stolen snowblowers, and arrested two people, who were held for court Monday, January 16.
