Vehicles robbed in Gold Creek area

Vehicles in Gold Creek have been stolen from in the past week, Cranbrook RCMP are reporting.

The first incident happened around 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5 on 37th Street South.

A woman at home heard her car alarm go off, looked outside and saw a dark truck with a loud exhaust fleeing her property.

When she checked her vehicle, she found they had taken her wallet and some loose money.

A few hours later, RCMP were informed that several more vehicles had been broken into, with an

iPhone and money stolen.

"Residents are reminded to keep their vehicles locked and be aware of who is around. If you see anything suspicious, call the police," said Cranbrook RCMP Cpl. Pat Prefontaine.
