There's a new four-way stop in town

City of Cranbrook is advising that the intersection of 9th Avenue South and 1st Street South is now a four-way stop.

The latest step in the ongoing evolution of Cranbrook's streets is complete.

The City of Cranbrook is advising that the intersection of 9th Avenue South and 1st Street South is now a four-way stop.

Signage was installed late Thursday morning, with the permanent stop signs along 9th Avenue being installed shortly.

At the regular meeting of August 12, 2013  Council approved the installation of the four way stop following a recommendation made by the Cranbrook In Motion Committee.  The intersection has some sightline issues which create safety concerns.

The public is reminded that the four way stopto exercise caution and follow and respect all signage.
