Members of the Kootenay Ice were out walking the dogs at the SPCA on Thursday, as hockey players and canines get set for a special event next week. Tennis Balls on Ice will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Western Financial Place when the Kootenay Ice take on the Saskatoon Blades. Purchase a tennis ball for $5 in hopes that one of the SPCA dogs will fetch your ball. Great prizes include a queen size bed from Bridge Interiors, a one-night stay and two rounds of golf at St. Eugene Golf Resort and Casino, a one-night stay and two rounds of golf at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, and a flight for two courtesy of Pacific Coastal Airlines.
