Senior Games bid unsuccessful

City of Cranbrook gets the word that North Vancouver will host the 2015 Games.

The city's bid to host the 2015 and 2016 B.C. Seniors Games was unsuccessful. The city received correspondence back from the B.C. Seniors Games Society noting that it will be North Vancouver that hosts the 2015 Games. CAO Wayne Staudt told council that the society would be redoing their bid package because they acknowledged that the way it is laid out gives an advantage to urban centres over rural. New updated bid packages will be released in January.
