The Cranbrook RCMP is seeking witnesses to a serious assault that took place at on Oct 25 shortly after 2 a.m. near Pizza Hut. The 31-year-old male was walking along Cranbrook Street North when he was assaulted by two, maybe three other males. The victim suffered head injuries and does not have a clear recollection of the events or his attackers. He believes the males to be young, one was wearing a red jacket and they had shaggy hair. He recalls other persons watching the altercation.
The victim sustained serious injuries to his head and foot which will require surgery. If anybody has information regarding this assault or was a witness they are asked to call Cst. Houle St-Onge at the Cranbrook RCMP Detachment, 250 489-3471.
