RCMP seek info or witnesses to highway accident

Vehicle failed to yield right of way at highway near Wycliffe, causing oncoming car to roll into the ditch

Kimberley RCMP is seeking witnesses or information regarding an accident  that took place Saturday, November 8 at 1:30 p.m., on highway 95A at Wycliffe Park Road.  A black or dark coloured four door domestic vehicle failed to yield the right of way coming onto the highway from the West on Wycliffe Park Road.  A southbound vehicle swerved  to avoid collision, the driver lost control, the vehicle rolled before coming to rest in the ditch. The driver and child were taken to East Kootenay Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

At the intersection it's believed the driver either turned left towards Kimberley from Wycliffe Park Road or went straight across. Police are asking anybody who witnessed the incident to contact Kimberley RCMP, 250 427-4811 or Crimestoppers.
