On December 5, shortly before 5:30 pm (MST), Elk Valley RCMP attended a residence located in the 1100 block of 2nd Avenue in Fernie. Upon attendance, police located a deceased person.
Police can confirm that the found body was that of a missing man. Jeremy Wellman, 32, was last seen on December 2 when he went to get gas in Fernie, BC.
Police are continuing their investigation and asking anyone who has any information about Jeremy Wellman’s activities prior to December 5 to contact them at (250)425-6233 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
