Kootenay Outdoor Recreation Enterprise (KORE) has announced the first-ever KOREfest Gear Market and Community Festival, which is set to take place on June 28 and 29 in Kimberley.

This event will allow KORE's member to showcase their latest gear and creations in an outdoor market setting in Kimberley's downtown core.

KORE's ReHub program — a program that includes a mobile repair tour and a centre for outdoor gear circularity — will be there to offer attendees free mending, patching and other repairs service on outdoor gear including jackets, sleeping bags and backpacks.

The two-date event will also include "Localpalooza," which will feature live music produced by Centre 64 and plenty of delicious local food.
