Continuing with the tradition of thanking our community, the resort will offer a Community Ski day of skiing/riding to locals on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025.
"First- a big thank you to the community for skiing and riding with us over the Holidays," said Christine Schultheis, general manager, Kimberley Alpine Resort.
"Our communities matter, and we have so many incredible charities and volunteer organizations doing good year around. In addition to the Kimberley Alpine Resort Summit Fund, which has provided numerous cash donations to many of the non-profits in Kimberley and Cranbrook, we have decided that we can do even more good.
"Community Ski Day is now a Community supporter, with 100 per cent of the lift ticket proceeds going to a chosen charity- this year we have decided to support the Cranbrook Kimberley Hospice Society."
In the past we have done a fundraiser through sales of burgers but we felt that did not generate significant enough funds to support the cause in a vital way.
Donation tickets can be picked up at guest services and are available to residents of Canal Flats, Skookumchuck, Meadowbrook, TaTa Creek, Kimberley, Marysville, Wasa, Wycliffe, Moyie, Wardner, Creston and Cranbrook.
Local residents (as previously defined) will be eligible for the following:
- Individual Tickets - Minimum $10 donation
- Family Ticket – Minimum $20 donation (Two adults and children that reside in same household)
More information about this event and others can be found on our Events Calendar.
