Drugs, Firearms and Stolen Vehicles were on the radar for Cranbrook RCMP Monday morning.

Cranbrook RCMP reported that a vehicle was stolen from the Tim Horton's in Creston on Sunday morning. The owner of the truck had picked up two female hitchhikers from the Lower Mainland and was on his way to Newfoundland when he stopped at Timmie's.  As he went inside the women drove away in his truck.

On Monday morning the Cranbrook RCMP Police Dog Service team located the stolen truck, along with a second suspected stolen vehicle near Moyie Lake on Hwy 3/95.  Two women and a man were immediately arrested.  Two vehicles were seized and searched.

The 29-year-old man from the Lower Mainland had homemade explosives and a loaded prohibited firearm within reach of the driver. The two women, aged 19 and 24 and also from the Lower Mainland, were in possession of a substantial amount of money and what is suspected to be crystal meth and marijuana.

The two women also have outstanding warrants from the Lower Mainland for Careless Use of a Firearm, Possess Firearm without license and Possession of Stolen Property.

All three individuals were to make appearances before the courts Tuesday.
