For the Townsman

Early morning on November 12, Cranbrook RCMP got a call from someone who had come across an abandoned Fed Ex truck up the Peavine Forest Service Road. The caller said several parcels were discarded on the roadway. Cranbrook members, along with the Forensic Identification Section (FIS) attended and conducted an investigation of the scene.

Cranbrook members then attended the Fed Ex building in town and found that the building had been broken into and that numerous parcels had been gone through or were missing. The Cranbrook FIS Section again attended this scene to gather evidence.

GPS from the truck indicates it was stolen sometime around 1 a.m. and was eventually dumped up the Peavine Rd around 2 a.m. Cranbrook RCMP are asking anyone who may have been in the area of the Fed Ex Building on Industrial Road 2 or on the Peavine Service Road, and who may have seen something, to please contact the Cranbrook RCMP or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
