Elk Valley RCMP is reporting that traffic is now flowing again between Morrissey and Elko, where driving conditions are extreme.

An RCMP officer on scene reported several cars already in the ditch due to the extremely slippery, low-visibility driving conditions.

DriveBC has also issued a travel advisory for the area between Jim Smith Lake Road and Highway 93, for 67.2 kilometres (Cranbrook to 19km east of Jaffray). They are reporting limited visibility with snow, and urge drivers to watch for slippery sections.
