Cranbrook RCMP and Cranbrook Fire responded to a call from BC Ambulance Service regarding a 14-year-old boy, who was found unconscious and not breathing late Monday afternoon.
The youth had been riding a Kawasaki dirtbike alone on 30th Ave. South, at 29th Street South in the Gold Creek area of Cranbrook when he crashed.
RCMP are reporting that the young man succumbed to injuries related to the crash.
Cranbrook RCMP continue to investigate the matter with the assistance of a collision analyst from the East Kootenay Traffic Services.
