Cranbrook, BC (May 25, 2016) – Public Works water crews will be digging up a portion of Cranbrook Street North Thursday morning to repair a water leak.

The work will be happening in the westbound lanes of Highway 3 in front of Blue Sky Realty beginning at 7:30am and is expected to last most of the day. Traffic will be slowed by the work with traffic flow expected to be reduced to single-lane for the duration of the work. Motorists are advised to please slow down and follow all the directions of the signage and flaggers on site.

Businesses and restaurants in the area are advised that once the leak is repaired and water pressure is restored, there may be some water discolouration. Food service establishments are strongly encouraged to take any proactive measures to ensure that their operations are minimally affected by the work.

The City of Cranbrook apologizes for any inconvenience this work may cause and encourages drivers to please be aware of all the workers present and slow down.
