UPDATED: Cranbrook RCMP investigating shooting incident

Male victim dropped off at 2nd St. N near the East Kootenay Regional Hospital

Cranbrook RCMP reported a shooting incident Thursday night and is seeking public assistance for additional information.

At 5:30 p.m., a male victim with gunshot wounds was dropped at 2nd St. N near the East Kootenay Regional Hospital, receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries. Following medical treatment, the man was released from hospital.

“It was apparent during the investigation that the male victim was dropped off near the hospital and the original scene of the incident is still unknown,” said Cranbrook RCMP, in a media release.

The RCMP are asking the public for assistance in providing any information they may have regarding this incident by calling the Cranbrook detachment at 250-489-3471.
