Council byelection set for May 11

Vacancy at council table opened up following the resignation of Danielle Eaton in January

A byelection to to fill an emtpy seat in Cranbrook city council chambers is set for May 11, according to Mayor Lee Pratt.

The vacancy opened after Councillor Danielle Eaton announced her resignation at the end of January.

Sarann Press, who worked as the Chief Election Officer in the recent municipal election last fall, will serve in the same capacity once again for the byelection.

Pratt says candidate packages should be public within the next 10 days.
