Local Conservation Officers were able to tranquilize and free a bull elk with a tarp trapped in his antlers on Christmas Day.

On the morning of December 25th Cranbrook CO’s Ray Gilewicz and Jeff Scott tranquilized a bull elk which was tangled in a tarp in a back yard in Cranbrook.

The darting was super successful, the tarp was removed, the 5 x 4 bull elk walked out the back gate and was free for the holidays!

Thanks to those people that called this in to the COS RAPP line.
