Car rams into house in Meadowbrook

The 22-year-old driver from Kamloops is facing a number of charges.

Cpl. Chris Newel of Kimberley RCMP reports there were no serious injuries after a vehicle left highway 95A east of Kimberley early Friday morning and struck a house.

The vehicle was westbound when it left the road, hit a fence, a truck and then the side of a house. The occupants of the house were not injured.

The vehicle came to rest upside down and the driver was able to free himself.

He was taken to East Kootenay Regional Hospital by ambulance, assessed and released a short time later.

Police are still following up on the incident which took place around 5:30 a.m. The 22-year-old driver from Kamloops is facing a number of charges.
