Car accidents keeping RCMP busy

RCMP responded to five accidents on Tuesday, the most serious one being a head-on collision just outside Cranbrook.

Cranbrook RCMP responded to five motor vehicle accidents on Tuesday, the most serious being a head-on collision between two vehicles just outside the city.

Two people were hospitalized with serious, but non life-threatening, injuries when a northbound Chevrolet Tracker lost control and collided head-on into a southbound pickup truck near the off-ramp to Highway 95A in the early evening.

The occupants of the pickup truck were not injured.

Cranbrook RCMP is continuing the investigation into this crash but road conditions appear to be the contributing factor.

The Cranbrook RCMP is reminding motorists that road conditions can change in an instant.  Please leave yourself extra time to get where you need to go safely.
