Christmas has come early for a lottery player who purchased a winning ticket worth $4.9 million in Cranbrook for the December 17, 2016 Lotto 6/49 draw.
Douglas Lowes had just wrapped up a volunteer shift at the Salvation Army and he was feeling good and decided to purchase a Lotto 6/49 ticket… turns out it was a winning ticket worth $4.9 million!
According to a press release from the B.C. Lottery there are two winning tickets from Saturday’s Lotto 6/49 jackpot of nearly $10 million – one from Cranbook and another from Quebec.
The jackpot for the next Lotto 6/49 draw on December 21 is approximately $5 million and the jackpot for the following Lotto Max draw on December 23 is an estimated $60 million.
