Cranbrook Public Library

By Mike Selby

The Summer Reading Club has begun! You can register anytime over the summer — just visit the Library to get started. We are looking forward to another great summer for of storytimes, contests, crafts, and lots of fun.

Please contact kfulton@cranbrookpubliclibrary.ca if you need more information.

Don’t forget there are also Teen and Adult Summer Reading Clubs as well.

Mark your calendar for the Friends Sizzling Summer Book Sale in the Manual Training School adjacent to the Library. Friends Members can attend on Friday, Aug. 16 from 3 pm to 5 pm. Everyone is welcome on Sat. Aug. 17  from 10 am to 4 pm.

There are loads of books, puzzles, games, DVDs and Audiobooks to choose from and at economical prices. Cash or cheque only. It is never too late to donate these items. Please bring them to the front Welcome Desk in the library year round.

The library always needs extra funding to maintain and improve its operation and when you buy books from our sales, you support the library programs and services.

This is a friendly reminder to beat the heat and come by the library to stay comfortable and cool - kick back with a book, use a computer, quietly chat with friends and simply relax.

The Library’s hours are:

• 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

• 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Please note the Library will be closed this Monday for BC Day.
