JCI Kootenay’s 53rd Annual Santa Claus Parade raised $5,569.20 for the Cranbrook Food Bank.
The organization announced the successful outcome of its 2024 Santa Claus Parade, held Nov. 30, which raised $5,569.20 in support of the Cranbrook Food Bank.
he event, a highlight of the holiday season for local families, not only brought the community together for a festive celebration but also made a significant impact in addressing food insecurity in the region.
The parade, which featured a spectacular array of floats, marching groups, and festive decorations, drew spectators from around the Kootenay region.
"Thanks to the generosity of our community, we are able to provide much-needed support to the Cranbrook Food Bank at a time when demand is especially high," JCI said in a press release. "The success of the 53rd annual Santa Claus Parade is a testament to the caring spirit of Cranbrook residents and the importance of coming together to support one another."
The funds raised will go directly toward purchasing food and supplies for the Cranbrook Food Bank, which serves individuals and families in need across the region.
