The company involved posted a profile tribute to Jason Remple, owner of Stellar Heli-skiing in Kalso, who was one of the victims. In part the statement said, "Jason ‘J’ Remple, owner and lead guide of Stellar Heliskiing, passed away while guiding in the Clute Creek watershed near Kaslo, British Columbia. He was 53.
