Cranbrook: Boston Pizza Franchise Sold

In February, Trevor and Angela Gordon, owners of the Boston Pizza franchise in Cranbrook announced that they had sold the business after 15 years.

" It has been an incredible privilege to serve you, to share in your special moments, and to be a part of this wonderful community. Cranbrook: Perry's Pizza Sold To New Owners

After 37 years in the business, owners Perry and Sylvia Levoe have sold their popular pizza and pub, appropriately called Perry's Pizza and Grill, to the husband and wife team of Vijay & Shailza.

We're passing the torch tomorrow to the new owners, and wish them all the success going forward," Perry stated in a FB post. "Please continue to support this great local family — same pizza, burgers, wing nights, and the frostiest brews in town. Thank you all, once again, for everything,”

The business was known for its pithy message board signs that read, "Eat here or we'll both starve," or "Best pizza in BC as voted by a guy who likes pizza."

Perry's Pizza started out in Kimberley in 1998 and relocated to Cranbrook in 2004.

Cranbrook: Development Slated for Cranbrook Street

Bluebox Developments is the new owner of the property at 800 and 810 Cranbrook Street. This is the land where the former Canadian Legion and May May Restaurant were located.

Bluebox Developments owner Chris Hirn has been busy securing all permits so he can start building a new, state-of-the-art shop for his Affordable Auto Glass facility.

Chris Hirn posted on FB:, “Since the cost of securing these two lots ($1.3 million) and building a new shop is a really an expensive endeavor, we appreciate every one of our customers who supports our business so we can make this a reality.”

The development plans also call for the building of a 36-unit apartment building.
