Great pumpkins, indeed!

Top Crop’s Fall Fair & Pumpkin Challenge, and more

The Pumpkin Challenge surely brought out the greatest pumpkins of them all — the East Kootenay’s most magnificent. Taking first place was Steven Labelle. In second place was Colt Bolen’s pumpkin; in third was Charlie Balen’s. Not least — or perhaps, least — was the first place prize for the smallest pumpkin entered, won by Bud and Shirley Jenson.

Top Crop was host to Cranbrook’s Fall Fair and Pumpkin Challenge this Saturday past, Sept. 28.

This day has now grown into a family event where vendors, food trucks, animals, live music and kids’ events make for a day the whole family can enjoy while raising some money to support local rescues.

Pumpkins and Fall Fairs, what better way to celebrate the glorious first days of Autumn.
