Kierstead was a Toronto-area painter, born in 1913, whose work reflects a Group of Seven influence. The collection of paintings was rediscovered when Creston resident Tracie Truscott purchased the contents of a storage locker in Creston. In the boxes she purchased were more than 100 paintings and drawings by Kierstead.
