Kimberley is pleased to welcome Calgary’s indie-folk group Locomotive Ghost to Centre 64 on Tuesday, April 11, at 7 pm.

Locomotive Ghost was originally formed in Nelson back in 2009. Since then, the group has released four full-length albums including Into the Glow, a project that was recorded with award-winning producers Russell Broom and Spencer Cheyne. Into the Glow was released on February 27 and has already charted on radio stations across Canada.

“I’m looking forward to being back in the Kootenays and sharing our music with the community” said Cranbrook native and lead singer Mike Buckley. “I think Kimberley and Cranbrook will really like what we’ve created.”

As an added feature, the opening act will be Kimberley newcomer Oliver McQuaid. McQuaid recently moved to Kimberley from the Sunshine Coast and created quite an impression at his recent “Homegrown” performance.

Tickets are $15 and are available at Centre 64 or online at www.locomotiveghost.com/tickets

Refreshments “by donation” will be served during intermission, with the proceeds going towards Centre 64’s “Give Us a Lift” campaign.
