Earth Week is coming up and Wildsight Kimberley Cranbrook invite residents of both communities to celebrate with them at community cleanups. After the winter, both cities are in need of a clean up and you can join individually or as a team to help out.

The date is Saturday, April 20 at 10 a.m. There are two meeting places, depending on which community you choose to clean up. In Cranbrook meet at Western Financial Place and in Kimberley at Centennial Centre.

– It is strongly recommended that you bring your own, durable gloves.

– Garbage bags will be available.

– Garbage bins will be located at the meeting locations.

– Dress appropriately for the weather and bring lots of water.

– Wear bright clothing for better roadside visibility.

– Please consider walking, biking, or carpooling to the meeting location.

If you can’t make it on the Saturday in Kimberley, you can team up with your business, friends, family or school between April 15 to 19 to clean up an area of your choosing. Contact PWalsh@kimberley.ca or call 250-427-9653 to receive garbage bags and register.

In Cranbrook you can do the same. Email corinna.hrehirchuk@chrabrook.ca or call 250-489-0220.
