The Laurie Middle School Grade 8/9 Concert Band travelled to California May 14-20 to take part in Disney’s performing arts program. The students participated in a workshop at Disneyland and performed several musical arrangements on the stage in Disney’s California Adventure Park in front of many park visitors. They were given an excellent performance rating of 8 out of 10, a score rarely given. Other attractions visited were Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament and Universal Studios. Despite temperatures reaching 42 degrees Celsius the students performed very well and had a wonderful time. Thank you to the community for sponsoring our students in their many fundraisers throughout the year.
