Hugs: Appreciative HUG to the operator of the GFL recycling truck. An absent neighbour’s bin didn’t empty on the first go round but you made a second pass (on your own time) to remedy the situation. Thank you! Slugs: And mild Slugs to those who don’t align their recycling bins properly: wheels/handle side goes against the curb so lid opens street side. The bin cannot be lifted and dumped if not positioned properly so no point in complaining…follow the instructions on the lid!
Hugs: Thank you to the woman who cleaned up all the weeds at the entrance to Wildstone golf course/The Whins/Boulder Creek/Legacy Lookout area. It didn’t matter that a portion of the land is the City’s responsibility, she made the entire entrance to our little community more pleasant to look at. Thank you, your hard work did not go unnoticed.

Hugs: Huge Hugs to the honest person who turned in my $50 Sport Chek gift card that I dropped at BMO. Thank you very much, it was a gift and I was so glad to get it back. Honesty, kindness & integrity is alive and well in Cranbrook.
Hugs: To all of the gardeners in the upcoming Open Garden Day, July 9, for opening up their homes and yards, and to the Cranbrook Garden Club for putting it on. What a lovely way to celebrate all your hard work and to showcase the talented gardeners in town.
Hugs: Big hugs to Tyler and staff at Rocky Mountain Pump for their fast and efficient service on my well pump when it died. After diagnosing the problem they began work on replacing my faulty pump by raising it from 450 feet and coming up with a plan to get it working in the fastest most economical way. There was a line in a Joni Mitchell song that went “you don’t know what you have got until it is gone” and nothing is more true when it comes to water. Many thanks from a grateful customer.
Slugs: Some constructive criticism to the operator of the Ice Cream truck that hurriedly visited Georgian Heights Park on June 27. You are going to have to slow down if you want to make sales to us old folks. We just do not move very fast, if we can not catch you. So if you would like to make your trip, here, worthwhile, we suggest a slower drive will go a long way. Cheers to you, hope all works out for your venture.
Hugs: A grateful hug to Mainroad East Kootenay Contracting (Brad and Darcy) for fixing the giant pot hole at the Salvation Army parking lot. This was a job done at no charge after learning of the situation at this very busy community hub. So nice to have caring people involved in the administration at Mainroad!
