Recent Wildlife Sightings:    Cougar sightings have been reported in the Southview/Elizabeth Lake neighbourhood.

Cougars are opportunistic hunters and have been known to take small pets when traveling through urban areas.  To ensure your pets safety and yours, keep your cats and dogs inside between the hours of dawn and dusk when cougars are most active.  To help manage attractants for cougars in town, be sure to feed your pets indoors and store their food securely.  For more information on cougar safety and what to do when you encounter one, go to www.wildsafebc.com.

If you see any wildlife activity of concern, please call the 24-Hour reporting line for the Conservation Officer Service: 1 (877) 952.7277.  Check out the most recent wildlife sightings this season on our web mapping service: www.wildsafebc.com/warp.
