Over the Rainbow Family Services and Bumble Tree will be host to the Cranbrook site of an international cloth diaper changing event taking place on Saturday, April 18, the same week as Earth Day. This is the 5th Anniversary of our popular international event. We currently have 188 sites in 18 countries, The Great Cloth Diaper Change event will attempt to break last year's record of 9,770 babies changed at one time around the world.

Each year billions of disposable diapers enter landfills where it takes hundreds of years for them to decompose, if ever. In five successful years of the Great Cloth Diaper Change event, participants have shown the entire world that cloth diapers are a real option for today's modern families, particularly catching the eye of expecting and new parents who may be seeking more planet-friendly and affordable alternatives to disposable diapers.

To date, there are more than 30 mom and baby pairs registered to participate in the Cranbrook event, which equates to approximately 70 people anticipated to be in attendance.

The event will take place beginning at 10:15 a.m. at Cranbrook Community Connections.  In addition to the Great Cloth Diaper Change activity, there will also be door prizes and swag bags donated by local businesses, and many opportunities to learn more about all things cloth diaper.

For more information or to participate in Cranbrook please contact Jessica Windle at 250-908-3276 or visit www.GreatClothDiaperChange.com and click on the map to find information about your local event.
