A few months ago, Dr. Reza Aran opened his practice in Cranbrook.

The office is located in the Cranbrook Dental Centre. In the past the office has served as the practice of Dr. Urban, which was then taken over by Dr. Cziraki.

"Then I took over Dr. Cziraki's practice," he said. That was back in April 2014.

This is Dr. Aran's second office, as he also has a practice in Coquitlam.

He enjoys coming to Cranbrook and said a lot of the work in the Coquitlam office is analyzing patient data on computers.

"When I'm in Cranbrook, I'm actually working on patients most of the time," Dr. Aran said.

Dr. Aran has many years of experience working in Iran and now Canada as a family dentist and orthodontic treatment. Dr. Aran has been a specialist since July 2013.

"I became a certified specialist in Orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics," he said.

After Dr. Aran graduated as a family dentist in Iran, he had to go back to school for two more years to become a certified dentist in Canada. After that he worked for three years to balance his finances, before returning for three more years of school to become an orthodontist.

At Aran Orthodontics, they do all types of orthodontic treatments, such as braces, Invisalign, early treatment, late treatment, adult braces, adult Invisalign — all sorts of business related to invisiline, he said.

From the website: "Your orthodontist will determine if and when there is a need for orthodontic treatment and if any interceptive orthodontic care is required. When treatment is begun early, the orthodontist can guide the growth of the jaws and guide incoming permanent teeth. Early treatment can also regulate the width of the upper and lower dental arches, gain space for permanent teeth, avoid the possible need for permanent teeth extractions in some cases, reduce the likelihood of impacted permanent teeth, correct thumb-sucking, and address abnormal swallowing or speech problems."

Dr. Aran lives in Port Moody. He travels to the Cranbrook office a number of times per month. Visit the website at www.aranorthodontics.com.
