Boxers from the Cranbrook Eagles Club fought hard this past weekend at ‘Fight Night III’ hosted by the Nelson Boxing Club.

The ‘Battlin’ Bros’ Dylan and Payton Muhlig both had rematch bouts to start off ‘Fight Night’.

Younger brother Dylan took on a much-improved Riel Martinez from Nelson, but as both fighters competed in the Initiation-age division, they were both declared winners after three rounds of boxing.

Payton, meanwhile, had his hands full with Alain Balon from Calgary. Payton’s slick footwork and fast counter punches were not enough as he took the loss.

Former Provincial Champion Dylan Clark returned to the ring after a year off and showed off some of his boxing skills in an exhibition bout with Elias Martinez from Nelson. Both boxers received loud applause from the crowd after three rounds of good technical fighting.

Finally, 17-year-old Eagles heavyweight Nike Blackmore took on twenty-year-old Melvin Teagai from Victoria. Blackmore went to war and earned a hard-fought unanimous decision.
