Cranbrook Community Theatre issues casting call for coming plays

Twenty roles available for men and women; auditions set for Monday, June 5, and Sunday, June 11

Cranbrook Community Theatre is issuing its casting call for the 2017/2018 season, seeking actors among the populace to cast the plays set for the coming fall winter and spring.

Twenty roles are available for men and women over 20 years of age. One of these productions is a musical, and an appointment to audition must be arrange. No appointment is necessary for non-musical auditions. Auditioners will be required to perform a brief monologue, which will be provided. No memorization is necessary.

Auditions take place Monday, June 5, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, June 11, at 2 p.m., at the Stage Door Theatre, 11-11th Avenue South in downtown Cranbrook. For stage play casting, just show up on time, 7 p.m.

The season kicks off in October with a two-person musical, “I Do! I Do!” One man and one woman are needed for this play.

Two stage plays follow, for February and May — both by Neil Simon: “Plaza Suite” and “The Sunshiine Boys.”

The casts call for four female roles, ages 30-60; One female aged 20-30; Four male roles ages 30-60; and two male roles over the age of 55.
