Hugs: To the car wash on Kootenay Street off Victoria. I have been using them for the past 4+ years and it is always clean and it works. We often take for granted that these businesses just ‘happen’ - but there are people making sure that things are kept in order — Thank you.

Hugs: To the men and women out there involved in amateur children and teen sports. Coaches, fund raisers, managers, drivers, refs and more. You are providing an opportunity for young people to channel their energies and teach life skills. Thank You for your often unnoticed service.

Hugs: I’d like to send a huge hug to Kim, who helped my daughter on Feb. 21st when she fell on the ice while walking to school. Thank you for helping her and calling me. Your kindness is greatly appreciated!

Hugs: Many hugs to the gentleman who picked me up when I fell on Tuesday, Feb 21 outside Marks Work Wear. He was heading to his vehicle but when I fell he came right away and helped me up and stayed with me for a bit to make sure I was okay. Thank you so much for helping me out that day!

Hugs: Many thanks to the gentleman who gave me so much help at the Starbucks drive-thru when my car quit with cars ahead of me and behind me. Also, thanks to the young man who drove my car to the Kal Tire parking lot before it stopped again. Having so much support made it a little less stressful. Many thanks!

Slugs: To the woman at the Anne of Green Gables ballet at the Key City Theatre. You should be so ashamed of yourself how you treated the young woman in the wheelchair. Asking her to move out of her spot into the corner because she “inconvenienced you” by sitting in front of you in the designated wheelchair spot. I saw how you went to the Key City Theatre staff and complained that she be moved.

Hugs: Thanks to the person who plows a path around Jim Smith Lake for skaters & hikers so everyone can enjoy the lake.

Hugs: Big shout out to Dan at Cranbrook Roto Rooter. Quick response (thank goodness!) with friendly and reasonably priced services. Highly recommend this company. Worth noting he is also a licensed plumber and can handle other plumbing issues besides clogged drains.

Hugs: Big hugs to Western Financial Group for organizing and sponsoring Pink the Rink night last Friday. Thank you for caring about our community

Hugs: Big hugs to Kathleen and her team at Western Financial Group for sponsoring Pink the Rink at the Bucks game this past Friday!

Hugs: To Peter Shalk and Elena Hark for their roles in Here on the Flight Path - a wonderful evening of laughs. Well Done.

Hugs: To the set painters of Here on the Flight Path - the window boxes and the large square design between the doors were awesome. A big shout out to all of the volunteers who made this and other Crbk Community Theatre shows happen.
