In Loving Memory ~

It is with great sadness that we announce that Victor Wallace Catsirelis, born on April 17, 1959, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the age of 64.

He is survived by his two children, Emily (Matthew) Heatherington and Scott (Ashley) Catsirelis; his grandchild, Ava Heatherington; sisters, Penny Bateman and Patrice (Warren) Golding; brothers, Peter (Pam) Catsirelis and Brock (Debbie) Catsirelis; as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.

Wallace was predeceased by his parents, John and Amy Catsirelis and brother, Brent Catsirelis.

Wallace was born in Cranbrook, British Columbia, and moved to Calgary, Alberta after high school to pursue a career in the oil and gas field. He graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) as a Petroleum Technologist and went on to work as a Reserve Coordinator in both Calgary and Medicine Hat, where his dedication and hard work were immensely evident.

Wallace also enjoyed a plethora of interests outside of work. He had a passion for hockey and was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan. He also played in goal on a recreational floor hockey team and coached his son's minor hockey league team as well. Wallace also loved to golf, play poker, cook up new recipes, and try new restaurants with his daughter.

In his down time, he read fantasy and sci-fi novels, working on his own fantasy novel on the side as well. His multifaceted passions and zest for life will be deeply missed. There will be no formal service as per the family's wishes. To honour Wallace's life, the family would appreciate donations made in his memory to either Canadian Mental Health Association or to The Mustard Seed.
