Shirley Chieko Mather

September 7, 1941 – August 25, 2017

“I had a good life, don’t be sad, be happy we had this

time together.”

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of

Shirley Chieko Mather, who left peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Shirley had a long time career as a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed a social day on the ski hill, farming cherries in Creston and picking wild cranberries while quading around Atlin. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.

Shirley leaves behind her husband Bill, daughters Joanne (Greg) and Janeen (Leon), grandson Darien, as well as her siblings, Mary (Ted), Joe (Pegi), Ruby and many nieces and nephews.

At her request there will not be a service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the East Kootenay Regional Hospital or the Cranbrook SPCA.

Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
