On the afternoon of Wednesday, July 12, 2017, Phyllis

“Carol” Mary Budden passed away at the East Kootenay

Regional Hospital at the age of 66 years. Carol was born on

November 17, 1950 in Ottawa, Ontario to Betty and Gordon

Dunn.

Carol was always the “life of the party”. She would light

up the room when she walked in and she loved to have a

good time. She was one who loved to laugh. Carol loved to

play poker and she and Guy knew at least 150 people who

enjoyed playing as well. Carol will miss her poker games.

Carol worked at the customer service desk as Superstore up

until September of 2015 when she retired. She was a doting

mother to her son Richard. She was always involved in

whatever he did be it baseball or hockey and would take on

the team mother role oft en. Carol was famous for organizing fundraisers and being very active in whatever she did.

Left to mourn her passing is her beloved husband of almost

48 years, Guy and her son, Richard (Chanelle) and two

granddaughters, Madision and Zarah. She leaves behind

many nieces, nephews and cousins in Ontario. Carol was

predeceased by her parents, Betty and Gordon and one

brother, Bob.

A private family gathering will be held at a later
