Myrna Johnson Gale
Myrna Johnson Gale died peacefully following a dignified
and determined battle with cancer August 11, 2017 in
Cranbrook, British Columbia at the age of 88.
She is survived by her children; Daniel, Keith, and Marjorie
(Reay). Preceded in death by her loving husband Eugene,
parents Percival and Maude Gale, brothers Gerald, Lloyd,
and Wendell, sisters Frances and Marjory.
Myrna was born on May 3, 1929 in Arvida, Quebec to
Percival Hart Gale and Maude Florence Young. She
married Eugene Lavern Johnson on March 26, 1955.
One of the highlights of their life was traveling and living
overseas with their family in the Canadian Armed Forces.
Eugene and Myrna have 3 children, 15 grandchildren and
26 great grandchildren. Myrna was a widow for 32 years.
Myrna loved to travel. She was most happy when visiting
with people from all over the world, and talking with them
about their experiences. She loved to read and stayed
current on what was going on around her. She was fiercely
proud of her three children, and she loved celebrating their
accomplishments. She was a generous, tender hearted and
sometimes kooky individual who was passionate about
animals and changing the world for the better.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints and was sealed to her sweetheart in the
Salt Lake City Temple on July 30, 2003.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 19, at 11:00 AM
in the Cranbrook chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints, 2210 2nd St. North.
As a family we express our thanks to Dr. Dawson and each
of her Doctors and hospital staff for their loving care and
dedication.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Myrna’s life.
