It is with deep sorrow that the family of Julianne Marin announces her passing on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in Cranbrook, BC at 92 years of age.

Julianne was born in Boyl, Netherlands on November 5, 1924. Julie loved her family, friends and the great outdoors. Over the years she volunteered in the community with the Girl Guides of Canada, the Royal Purple and the Elks Club. She served as the President of the

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 67, and was a lifetime member.

Julie loved to tell stories of her most cherished memories and will be missed by all who knew her.

Julie is survived by her son Burg Boekestyn (Donna), daughter Janie Dewar (Wayne), son William Boekestyn (Sheila), son Richard Boekestyn (Carol), daughter Christina Belanger (Randy), her loving companion Fred Bampton, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by Mary Seppen (Mark),

Julie Couples and Jannetje Boekestyn.

A memorial service for Julie will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 10:00 am at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook.

Her interment will be in the Kimberley Cemetery. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in her honour may
