Gary Edward Elkin

It is with great sadness, that the family of Gary Edward Elkin announce his passing after a lengthy illness at the

Cranbrook Hospital on Friday, September 1, 2017, one day before his 69th birthday.

Gary was a mechanic, mainly for the Classic Cars and Hot Rods. He was considered to be a wizard with carburetors.

Gary was predeceased by his father Edward Elkin and a niece Tawni.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Carla of Cranbrook, mom Violet of Red Deer, Alberta, sisters Judy Kober (Reg) and Joyce Bettcher of

Calgary, Aberta, and brothers Wain Elkin (Maxine) of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Randy Elkin of Calgary, Alberta, and Tony Elkin (Lisa) of San

Francisco, California.

He will also be sadly missed by nieces and nephews Anita, Greg, Twyla, Travis, Shauna, Devin, TJ, Jori, Mya, and Mason.

He will also be missed by his stepdaughters Monica Brown and Maryann Fraser and his step-grandchildren A.J., Michaela, Dalton, Calleigh, and Connor.

A Celebration of Gary's life will be held in the Chapel of Mark Memorial Funeral Service, 2024 Industrial Road No. 2, Cranbrook, B.C. on

Saturday September 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Guy Roy Celebrant.

Dress Casual.
