Blackie Palmiere, 88, of Cranbrook,

British Columbia, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday, January 2, 2017 at his home.

Blackie is survived by his wife Sheila

of 65 years, sons Allen (Susanne) , Dick (Debbie), Mac, sister Caroline, brother Bruce, grandchildren Sam, Ethan and Liam,

several nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by son Douglas and granddaughter Alexis.

Blackie loved the outdoors with hunting and fishing as his passions from early childhood. Blackie had several careers in his life, but he enjoyed most of all work as a logger, bulldozer operator and CP Rail. He was best known for his zest of life enjoying the company of family and friends.

There will be a family service the week of January 9th.
